I just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I spent the whole day reading it and I loved it! I almost starting crying when it was over. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple of weeks ago I had to report to the city county building for jury duty. My dad drove me--very convenient since he has a parking garage pass. I went in and filled out forms, watched a video about serving as a juror, and then sat around for about two hours. They called some people but eventually the woman in charge came in and said they didn't need any jurors for the second trial.

I recently read Pledged: The Secret Life of Sororities and Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Binchy. Also some poetry collections by Donald Hall, Wendell Berry, and Jane Kenyon. Are you familiar with any of those poets? Before we head to Wisconsin in August I know my mom, sister, and I will go to Borders. We always choose at least one book from there and then get others out from the library. I cannot wait until that vacation arrives!

Exciting times:

1) Both of my summer school classes are over and I did really well! :)

2) I've done some baby-sitting recently and joined St. Luke's United Methodist Church last weekend. I love the church and am already part of the Chancel Choir there!!

3) Tomorrow I'm going over to my friend Molly's house and we're going to watch my favorite movie, Out of Africa

4) My boss is getting married Friday!

5) I'm currently halfway through Harry Potter 2...I'm rereading all of the books before the 7th comes out.

6) Tonight So You Think You Can Dance is on!

The funeral went well yesterday--many people were in attendance and I know Sara would have been happy to know what an impact she had on others.

I only have 6 days of Botany left! I need to have more of a set schedule in terms of work. It's been nice to have a job that's flexible, but the drawback is that when I'm working at home I can easily talk myself in to "waiting until tomorrow." I also got another part time job. One of the religion professors at Butler is interviewing Hindus in Indianapolis and I will be transcribing those interviews.

My mom and sister left on a college tour yesterday, and they won't be back until June 19th. That gives me and my dad an opportunity to watch some movies and buy food that they aren't interested in. Yippee!

Please keep one of my best friends, Rachel, in your prayers. Her 23-year-old sister Sara died Friday from cancer. It is a very sad time for those of us who knew her.

On a happier note, I've seen some fabulous movies this weekend!

WAITRESS--Wonderful! Everyone must see this!

POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE--Fun movie, and one that I needed to see because I'm on a quest to watch all the movies Meryl Streep has been in.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3--Not amazing, but definitely enjoyable!

My parents arrive home in an hour or so--they've been picking up my sister at boarding school. I'm excited that the whole family will be together again.

Went to bed soooo late last night which made it a nightmare to get up this morning. Unfortunately, I had to go to Butler for choir rehearsal. We're singing at commencement tomorrow...when I'll have to get up even earlier than today! I'm definitely in summer mode, which is not good because I start school again on Monday. Joy.

After rehearsal I went home for lunch, then headed to see one of my friends. Ended up having dinner with her, which was nice. Then back to the house to do laundry and dishes. I also talked to my "honorary grandmother" this evening. She's not really my grandmother but we decided we're family and she loved the Mother's Day gift I sent her. Hopefully my mom will like what I got her.

Well, I am horrible at technology but a lot of my friends seem to be on here, so now I am, too. Tonight I ate popcorn and mint chocolate chip ice cream while watching "Anne of Green Gables." I did so well in my classes--all A's and A-'s, so it was a celebration!
