A couple of weeks ago I had to report to the city county building for jury duty. My dad drove me--very convenient since he has a parking garage pass. I went in and filled out forms, watched a video about serving as a juror, and then sat around for about two hours. They called some people but eventually the woman in charge came in and said they didn't need any jurors for the second trial.
I recently read Pledged: The Secret Life of Sororities and Whitethorn Woods by Maeve Binchy. Also some poetry collections by Donald Hall, Wendell Berry, and Jane Kenyon. Are you familiar with any of those poets? Before we head to Wisconsin in August I know my mom, sister, and I will go to Borders. We always choose at least one book from there and then get others out from the library. I cannot wait until that vacation arrives!
Exciting times:
1) Both of my summer school classes are over and I did really well! :)
2) I've done some baby-sitting recently and joined St. Luke's United Methodist Church last weekend. I love the church and am already part of the Chancel Choir there!!
3) Tomorrow I'm going over to my friend Molly's house and we're going to watch my favorite movie, Out of Africa.
4) My boss is getting married Friday!
5) I'm currently halfway through Harry Potter 2...I'm rereading all of the books before the 7th comes out.
6) Tonight So You Think You Can Dance is on!
